For the last 85 years, March of Dimes has impacted every family in this country through improvements to maternal and infant health. Some major accomplishments:
• Funding the research into the development of the polio vaccine
• Funding research that lead to the creation of the first newborn screening test
• Raising awareness of birth defects and how to prevent them (folic acid campaign of the 90s).
• Advocating for legislation to ensure all children have access to health care when they are born.
• The campaign to end preterm birth (launched in 2000s). The educational campaign to prevent early, elective, non-medically-necessary C-sections before 39 weeks
To join me in supporting strong moms and healthy babies, please donate today and share with friends and family. Thank you!
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
